Who we are and what we offer

The service is provided by Event Media srl, Via Bosio 22, 00161 Roma, P.IVA 01814310569, Italy ("we"). InMemories rebuilds a person from their voice, face and memories, and lets you talk to them by chat, phone or video call. The reconstruction is generated by artificial-intelligence systems: it is a representation, not the person, and may contain inaccuracies. It is not a medical, psychological or legal service.

Who can use it

The service is for adults only. By creating an account you confirm you are at least 18 and that your details are true. The account is personal: do not share your credentials. You may invite family members you authorise to use the avatar.

Plans and minutes

Monthly plans: Base €19 (30 minutes of voice and 10 of video per month), Plus €39 (75 and 25), Presence €69 (120 and 45). Prices are in euro, VAT included. Minutes are credited every month, roll over and never expire while the plan is active. You can buy extra minutes: 30 minutes of voice for €10, 20 minutes of video for €20. Minutes are used only during voice and video calls; text chat does not use them.

Legacy (one-time)

Legacy costs €2,000 one-time and credits 8,000 minutes of voice and 3,000 minutes of video that never expire and need no monthly subscription. It includes every feature of the Presence plan. Legacy minutes are a defined quantity, not unlimited: once used, extra minutes can be purchased.

To keep a Legacy profile active, a minimum top-up of €19.90 every 12 months from the purchase date is required, credited as 60 extra minutes of voice. It is how we know the profile still matters to someone. We remind you by email 30 days and 7 days before the due date, and on the day itself. If the top-up is not made, the profile is considered inactive from the due date and the inactivity rule below applies.

Storage space

Every plan includes storage for the files you upload: 15 GB with Base, 50 GB with Plus, 150 GB with Presence, 300 GB with Legacy. Without an active plan you keep 2 GB, enough to start building the avatar.

What counts is the original files you upload — photos, videos, audio, documents and the legacy video. Previews, transcripts and search indexes we generate do not count. A single file cannot exceed 2 GB. We email you when you reach 80% of your storage and when it runs out.

When storage is full only NEW uploads stop: we never delete anything you have already uploaded, and calls with the avatar keep working. To upload more you can free up space or move to a larger plan.

Creating the avatar

One avatar per person. It can be created once the uploaded material is sufficient: at least 10 items (audio, video, photos, texts), or at least 20 answers to our questions, or at least 5 minutes of video. Preparation takes about 24 hours. Updating the avatar with new material is a paid service, at the price shown at purchase. Video calls require an active plan.

Content and rights

The content you upload stays yours. You grant us permission to use it only to provide the service: to create and run the reconstruction, store it, and show it to you and the people you authorise. We do not publish it, sell it, or use it to train third-party models.

By uploading content about other people, living or deceased, you confirm you have the right to do so and take responsibility for it. For video calls of a deceased person we may ask for a rights verification. If a family member objects on well-founded grounds, we may suspend the avatar pending clarification.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload and for the consequences of sharing it, including with the family members you choose to share it with. InMemories.me stores and reconstructs: it is not the author of user-uploaded content and does not answer for it. To the extent permitted by law, the Owner disclaims all liability for the content of material uploaded by users and for any damage arising from it. Anyone who believes a piece of content infringes their rights or the law can write to us: we act on well-founded reports.

Prohibited uses

You may not upload, store or share through the service sexual, erotic or pornographic material of any kind, even involving consenting adults; material depicting minors in a sexual or otherwise inappropriate way; violent, gory or hateful content; material obtained unlawfully or that you have no rights to; any other unlawful content. You may also not use the service to deceive anyone into believing the avatar is the real person, for fraud, harassment, or to rebuild people you have no rights over.

In case of breach we may remove the content, suspend or close the account without notice and, where the law requires it, inform the competent authorities.

Payments, renewals and cancellation

Payments are handled by Stripe. The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and the current month is not refunded. After cancellation, accumulated minutes stay in your balance for 12 months and become usable again by reactivating a plan.

Email communications

To run the service we send you service emails, which are part of the contract and are not advertising: welcome on registration and address verification; confirmation of plan activation, of every payment and receipt; monthly renewal reminder 7 days before the charge and notice of a failed payment, with the following attempts; notice when voice or video minutes drop below 20% and when they run out; a notice when storage passes 80% and when it runs out; Legacy annual top-up reminders 30 days and 7 days before the due date and on the day itself; inactivity notices before suspension and before deletion; notices about changes to the terms or the privacy policy.

These emails cannot be turned off while the account is open, because they protect your memories and your balance. We do not send newsletters or offers without separate consent.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase without giving reasons, by writing to us. Because the service starts immediately at your request, you accept that once the reconstruction has started or minutes have been used, withdrawal is no longer possible for the part already performed. The same rule applies to extra minutes and Legacy.

Inactivity

If nobody signs in for 12 months, or for Eredità if the yearly top-up isn't made by its due date, we warn you by email and suspend the video reconstruction, keeping the memories. Beyond 15 months of inactivity the account is no longer accessible. A single sign-in — or the top-up for Eredità — resets the count.

The memories are not destroyed at that point: they stay stored and hidden for another 6 months. Within that window you or your family can ask us to bring everything back by writing to info@inmemories.me: we rebuild archive, voice and face for €1,000. After those 6 months the deletion is final and irreversible.

Who continues after you

At any time, from settings, you can name the people who should receive access to your memories if one day you stop showing up. As many as you want, and for each one you choose what they'll be able to do: browse the archive and talk to the avatar, add memories, or manage the archive and invite other relatives.

You also decide the timing, with two windows: after how many days without access we should warn you (we suggest 15) and how many days we wait for your answer before writing to the people you named (we suggest 30). During the first window we write to you more than once, and every email carries a link to confirm you're there. Only if we get no sign from you do we notify your contacts and grant the access you had set.

A sign-in from you, at any moment and in any phase, resets the count. Giving your contacts access takes nothing away from you: you remain the account holder and can change or remove contacts whenever you like. Content you marked as private between you and one single person stays visible to that person only.

Availability and limits

We do our best to keep the service running, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation: we also depend on external providers for voice, video and payments. We do not guarantee that the avatar answers accurately or as the person would have. Within the limits of the law, our liability is capped at what you paid in the last 12 months.

Closing the account

You can close your account at any time from the settings or by writing to us: content is deleted within 30 days. We may close it in case of breach of these terms, with notice except in serious cases.

Changes

We may update these terms. Substantial changes are notified by email at least 30 days in advance; if you do not accept them you can cancel at no cost.

Law and jurisdiction

Italian law applies. Consumers may bring claims before the courts of their place of residence; in all other cases the courts of Rome have jurisdiction. Contact: info@inmemories.me.
